Grenadiers Crush Harriers To Close Out 2013

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Eight players scored in double figures and every player who entered the game scored as IU Southeast rolled past Miami University-Hamilton 131-77.

Greg Magee and Kevin Mitchell each had 16 points to lead IU Southeast. Kegan Clark and Parker Henes had 13 points, Jake Simpson had 12, Cameron Mitchell 11 and Carlos Jones and Aaron Hayes each had 10 points.

IU Southeast (8-3) shot a blistering 57 percent from the field (51-90) and 13-20 from three-point range (65 percent).

IU Southeast forced 25 turnovers which led to 30 points. The Grenadiers led 57-35 at halftime and by as many as 58 in the game.

The 131 points scored are the most points scored by IU Southeast since Feb. 13, 2008 when the Grenadiers scored 141 in a 141-81 win at IU East.

The Grenadiers are back in action on Saturday when they host KIAC rival Point Park at 6 p.m. in the second game of a doubleheader.
