NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's tennis team concluded the 2015-16 season with a 9-0 loss to Georgetown on Saturday.
The two seniors for IU Southeast, Maddie Ikerd and Katie Walsh, were paired together for the final time at No. 1 doubles but fell 8-3 to Shae Henry and Natalie Fiepke. Dana Frank and Alexis Applegate lost 8-3 to Kaelin Roberts and Kelly Swanson and Anne Marie Mattox and Brennyn Pollert lost 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, Walsh dropped her first set 6-2 before battling to a 6-4 defeat in the second set. Ikerd lost 6-0, 6-2 in her final singles match. Pollert was up 5-2 in the second set before dropping the set and the match 6-1, 7-5.
The Grenadiers finish the season at 11-9.
