No. 25 Grenadiers Roar Past Harriers 128-84

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's basketball team outscored visiting Miami-Hamilton 128-84 72-47 in the second half en route to a 128-84 win on Thursday.

Blake Murphy and Brandon Johnson each had 20 points to lead IU Southeast. Jamie Johnson had 16 points and six assists, David Burton had 15 points, Jared Osborne had 12 points and Chayton Howard added 10 points in the win.

Murphy, Johnson and Howard all recorded season highs in the victory.

IU Southeast (10-5) shot 65 percent from the field in the contest and 48 percent from behind-the-arc.

The Grenadiers opened the game on a 20-9 run and pulled away by connecting on 10 three-pointers in the opening 20 minutes, shooting 10-of-19 from three-point range.

IU Southeast also capitalized on 18 Harrier turnovers which led to 24 points. They pounded Miami-Hamilton in the paint, 56-34. The Grenadier bench recorded 77 points in the contest.

The Grenadiers travel to West Virginia Tech on January 3 at 7:30 p.m. for their first game after a holiday break.
