SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The IU Southeast women's tennis team concluded the 2019 fall season by defeating IU South Bend 7-0 and dropping a 4-3 decision to Roosevelt.
The Grenadiers (3-4) swept the doubles matches against IU South Bend with the closest match at No .2 doubles where Hallee MIller and Kate Heuchan won 7-6(3).
In singles play, the Grenadiers won all six matches in straight sets. Camille Greenwell defeated Alaina Majors 7-5. 6-2 at No .1 singles. Lauren Winchell, Kate Heuchan and Jeannie Soto each dropped no more than two games in their wins. Hallee Miller cruised 6-4, 6-4 and Emma Ellis won 6-4, 6-0.
Against Roosevelt, IU Southeast earned the doubles point with wins at the top two doubles positions.
But in singles play, the Lakers bounced back to win the top three singles positions and No. 6 singles to win the match. Jeannie Soto and Kate Heuchan earned singles wins for IU Southeast.
