NEW ALBANY, Ind. -
Jocobi Hendricks earned national accolades for the second time in three weeks as he was recognized as the NAIA Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Hendricks, a guard from Louisville, Ky., had 44 points, six rebounds, and three assists in IU Southeast's 100-95 overtime win over No. 12 Cumberlands this past Saturday. Â Hendricks went 14-27 from the floor, including 3-6 from the three-point line. He hit 13 of his 18 free throw attempts while playing all 45 minutes in the contest.

The 44-point effort from Hendricks was two points shy of IU Southeast's single game scoring record. It was the second time this season Hendricks has scored more than 40 points in a single game.

Hendricks currently leads the River States Conference in total points and points per game. He is second in the RSC in assists.

IU Southeast returns to action on January 4
th at home against Shawnee State.
Hendricks was selected based on his performance(s) from December 11-17 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/group nominees.
