Logan Beard enters his first season as Assistant Coach at IU Southeast. Beard is an accomplished professional infielder and an alumnus of the Indiana University Southeast baseball program.
Beard, a native of Louisville, Ky., began his collegiate career at the University of Louisville where he competed at the Division I level, showcasing his versatility and offensive potential. At Louisville, he contributed as an everyday infielder, noted for his ability to hit for power and drive in runs while displaying reliable defense in the middle infield.
Beard then transferred to Indiana University Southeast, where he made an immediate and significant impact on the Grenadier baseball program. In his first season with IU Southeast, he was a catalyst in the lineup, hitting .349 with nine home runs, 62 runs batted in, and a .476 on-base percentage, earning a spot on the NAIA All-American Third Team. He also garnered River States Conference (RSC) Player of the Year Honors, was named to the RSC All-Conference First Team and RSC Gold Glove Team, and helped lead the Grenadiers to a 32–18 record and an NAIA Opening Round appearance.
Following his standout season at IU Southeast, Beard launched his professional career by signing with the Glacier Range Riders of the Pioneer Baseball League, an independent MLB Partner League. With the Range Riders, he continued to develop his all-around game while contributing as a core offensive and defensive piece in the lineup.
Beard is known for his work ethic, leadership in the clubhouse, and a disciplined approach at the plate that combines power and on-base skills. His experience at both the NAIA and professional levels underscores his commitment to excellence on and off the field.
