ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – Jordan Batliner hit her third home run of the season and Bethany Sullivan threw four shutout innings as IU Southeast rolled past Briarcliffe at USCAA Preseason Invitational.

Batliner hit a bomb to center field in the second inning, after the Grenadiers had already put six runs across in the first inning. She went two-for-three with three RBI on the day.

Sullivan (4-0) was dominant throughout, allowing just two hits and striking out four.

The Grenadiers (5-4) finished with 13 runs on 12 hits in four innings of work.

IU Southeast continues tournament play tomorrow when they take on Roosevelt University (Ill.) at 9 a.m. That is followed by games against Lindenwood University-Belleville at 1 p.m. and West Virginia Tech at 3 p.m.

The Grenadiers will face Roosevelt University and Lindenwood-Belleville on Field #3 and West Virginia Tech on Field #2.
