NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Indiana University Southeast freshman Whitney Estes was named the KIAC softball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 1.

Estes finished the week with a .692 batting average (9-for-13) as the Grenadiers ended the week with a 4-0 record. The IU Southeast catcher tallied eight runs batted in, three home runs, two triples, two doubles and six runs scored. She had two multi-hit games including a 5-for-5 effort with two homeruns against St. Catharine. In sixteen games this season, Estes is batting .548 (23-for-42) with six homeruns.
