NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team fell to Campbellsville University in three sets (25-16, 27-25, 25-18) on Monday night.
The Grenadiers (10-12) started strong by winning the first three points of the match. Campbellsville went on an 11-3 run in the middle of the set to take a nine-point lead and took the set 25-16.
The second set was close throughout but the Grenadiers did not have an answer for the Tigers' duo of Briana Harman and Jana Kortas who each had a game-high 11 kills. Campbellsville (8-22) took the second set 27-25.
The third set saw the teams battle before Campbellsville pulled away for good at with the lead at 18-12.
Sara Schum led the Grenadiers with nine kills while Michala Beasley added seven.
IU Southeast looks to get back on track as they host Kentucky Wesleyan tomorrow at 7 p.m.
