BEREA, Ky. - Indiana University Southeast freshman Jessica Leanhart was named the KIAC softball pitcher of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 21st. This is her fifth pitcher of the week award of the season.

In her only outing last week, Leanhart threw a one-hitter against Berea College as IU Southeast won the game 3-0. She didn't walk any batters and struck out nine. She ranks 2nd in the KIAC with a 2.20 earned run average, 3rd in strikeouts (90), 2nd in opposing batting average (.228) and leads the conference with 13 wins.

Indiana University Southeast is 29-10 overall and lead the conference with a 17-3 record. They will return to action on April 21st when they host Midway College for a doubleheader.
