NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team dropped a hard-fought match in five sets to Oakland City on Thursday.
The Grenadiers (3-6) lost 25-22, 13-25, 25-19, 13-25, 13-15.
Sara Schum had 14 kills to lead the Grenadiers while Michala Beasley added 12. Katie Fischer and Kelsey Willinger each had nine kills and Krstyn Maymon had eight.
Meaghen Tompkins had 27 assists while Demi Richardson added 20.
The Lady Oaks' Tya Harmon had a game-high 19 kills as Oakland City moved to 4-2 on the year.
The Grenadiers visit IU East on Saturday for a tri-match with the Red Wolves and Purdue Calumet. The Grenadiers face East at noon and Purdue Calumet at 2 p.m.
