NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team pushed its winning streak to seven consecutive matches with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-11 win over Midway Tuesday night.
The Grenadiers (14-7, 8-2 KIAC) were led by Michala Beasley's 11 kills. Hannah Joly added seven in the win.
IU Southeast had 11 aces in the match, Joly had a match-high five followed by Katie Fischer's three.
The Grenadiers got an easy win in the first set but had a much tougher time putting the Eagles away in set two.
IU Southeast led 20-13 before Midway closed the gap to 24-22. Hannah Joly closed the second frame with a kill.
The third set was all Grenadiers. IU Southeast used a 15-4 run the close the match.
Ricky Bowers had eight kills for Midway.
The Grenadiers host Asbury at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
