NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's basketball team has signed Silver Creek High School senior guard Nick Tinsley, IU Southeast head coach Wiley Brown announced today.
Tinsley is averaging 11.8 points per game, 4.8 assists per game, 4.2 rebounds per game and 2.2 steals per game.
"It's a dream come true to sign with IU Southeast," Tinsley said. "Ever since I was a little kid, playing college basketball was my goal and I am finally here. IU Southeast has helped make my dream a reality and I am extremely excited to be a Grenadier!"
The Dragons are 17-2 and 7-0 in the Mid-Southern Conference. They are ranked No. 3 in Associated Press Class 3-A rankings in Indiana.
"Nick is a great addition to our team," IU Southeast head coach Wiley Brown said. "He is a tough competitor who will improve the team in many ways. We are excited that he has decided to become a Grenadier."
The Grenadiers are back in action on Friday when they host Cincinnati Christian at 7 p.m. with Senior Night ceremonies preceding tipoff.
