NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast softball team picked up a pair of convincing wins over Ohio Christian on Thursday 9-1 and 14-4.

In game one, Jessica Leanhart (3-0) had a perfect game through five innings before giving up a hit and run in her final inning of work. She pitched a complete game and struck out nine while surrendering just two hits.

The Grenadiers (5-1) jumped out in front early, capitalizing on five OCU errors to score six runs. IU Southeast would add on in the second. Shelby Lucas tripled and scored on Brookelyn Visker's single to left.

Montanah Rogers ended the game in the sixth as she hit a two-run double with the bases loaded to make it 9-1.

Lucas and Cadie Povaleri each had two hits in the win.

In game two, the Grenadiers put together another big first inning to put the game out of reach. Lauren Klosterman hit a two-run double and Rogers hit a triple with the bases to break the game open. Rogers had four RBI in the game.

Cato had a no-hitter through four and a third innings. She walked three, struck out four and gave up four runs on one hit in a complete-game win.

The Grenadiers host Alice Lloyd on Saturday and Sunday. First pitch Saturday is at noon, with Sunday's contests starting at 1 p.m.
