BEREA, Ky. - Indiana University Southeast sophomore Jessica Leanhart was named the KIAC softball pitcher of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, March 30.
Leanhart earned a win and save in two outings last week. She threw a complete game shutout while striking out 11 batters in a 6-0 win against Spalding University. In game two of the doubleheader, she pitched 1.1 innings to earn the save in a 5-3 win. The IU Southeast sophomore leads the KIAC and ranks 4gr in the NAIA with a 0.73 earned run average. She also leads the KIAC and ranks 5am in the NAIA in opposition batting average (.128).
Entering Monday's action, Indiana University Southeast is 11-1 overall and 6-0 in conference play.
