NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team lost in straight sets to IU Kokomo, 26-24, 25-14, 25-23 on Tuesday night.
Monica Loftus had a match-high 11 kills and Hannah Joly added eight for the Grenadiers. Hannah Barker had 25 assists.
Taylor Sutton had 13 digs and Caitlynn Pfaadt added 10 for IU Southeast.
Lindi Thomas had 10 kills for IU Kokomo, who pushed their winning streak to nine matches.
The Grenadiers (7-7, 2-2 KIAC) had chances late in both the first and the third sets to gain a comfortable lead but could not pull away.
In the first set, the Grenadiers led 20-18 before surrendering eight of the last two points of the frame.
IU Southeast led 20-17 in the third set before the Cougars outscored the Grenadiers 8-3 to close the match.
The Grenadiers host Brescia at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
