Carlow-IU Southeast Men's Basketball Game Declared No Contest

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The Carlow-IU Southeast men's basketball game was declared a no contest by KIAC officials Saturday after a basket was damaged by a dunk during halftime warmups.

After a meeting between the officials assigned to the game, both head coaches and IU Southeast Director of Athletics Joe Glover it was decided to declare the game a no contest due to safety concerns.

"I apologize to the student-athletes and coaches of both institutions," Director of Athletics Joe Glover said. "After the basket was damaged at halftime, both head coaches and the officials agreed to declare the game a no contest for the safety of the players. It is unfortunate for the season to end for both teams in this fashion.

"I want to personally thank the Grenadiers lone senior, Jordan Thompson, for all his hard work during the past four seasons, and wish that this game had ended under better circumstances."
