FORT WAYNE, Ind. – After seeing their 12-match winning streak snapped on Friday, the IU Southeast volleyball team started a new winning streak on Saturday with wins over Lawrence Tech and Shawnee State.

The Grenadiers (14-13) defeated Lawrence Tech in four sets 25-12, 13-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Monica Loftus tied a season-high with 16 kills in the victory. Parker Andres and Kelsey Willinger each had nine kills and Alexis Bassett and Lindsey Howell each added eight.

Hannah Sipe had 42 assists and Kenna Burman had 27 digs to lead IU Southeast.

In the second match of the day, the Grenadiers swept Shawnee State 25-20, 25-17, 25-23. Monica Loftus led the way once again for IU Southeast, tallying 15 kills and 12 digs.

Hannah Sipe had 30 assists for the Grenadiers and Kenna Burman recorded a team-high 18 digs.

For her efforts, Loftus was named to the Liz Lykowski All-Tournament Team.

IU Southeast hosts Asbury Tuesday at 7 p.m.
