NEW ALBANY, Ind. – A huge game from Joe Jackson and Jamie Johnson helped lead the Grenadiers to a huge second half to get past Asbury 92-80.
Jackson had a career-high 27 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks and Johnson added 21 points and seven rebounds. Kerry Smith had 12 points.
The Grenadiers (8-5, 3-1 RSC) scored 60 points in the second half on 48 percent shooting from the field. Jackson had 25 points in the second half on 10-of-16 shooting from the field. Johnson was 9-of-19 from the field in the contest and led the Grenadiers with 10 points in the first half to keep the game close.
Trenton Thompson had 34 points and 13 rebounds for Asbury.
The Grenadiers trailed 38-33 at halftime but used a 21-8 run to start the second half to take the lead that they would not relinquish.
IU Southeast only shot 29 percent from three-point range but the three-pointers fell at key times to keep the lead out of reach.
