NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The Grenadier baseball team pushed its winning streak to 11 games in a row with a 17-7 victory over visiting Miami-Hamilton in eight innings on Tuesday.
The Grenadiers (24-7) scored in six of the eight innings and opened the scoring with a solo home run from Richard Rodriguez in the bottom of the first.
IU Southeast scored five runs in the fourth and seven runs in the eighth inning to put the game away. Julian Flanary hit a solo home run to right in the eighth to start the rally.
Jordan Thompson earned his second win of the year. He worked three innings and allowed one run on two hits. He struck out four and walked two.
Julian Flanary and Hector Marmol each had three RBI and Rodriguez, Cody Maloon, Julian Flanary and Eddie Chessell each had two hits.
