NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Five Grenadiers scored in double figures and IU Southeast led by as many as 37 en route to a 103-66 win over Ohio Christian Tuesday.
The Grenadiers (14-6, 8-2 RSC) forced 21 turnovers and outscored the Trailblazers 32-5 in points off turnovers.
That helped aid the IU Southeast offense which was rolling on Tuesday. Jaime Johnson had 19 points to lead IU Southeast. Joe Jackson had 18 points, Cody Young had 15 points. Lukas Burkman added 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from three-point range and Kerry Smith had 10 points.
IU Southeast shot 57 percent (16-of-28) from the field in the first half and led 47-27 at halftime. The Grenadiers used a 16-4 run to pull away in the first half and they did not look back.
In the second half, IU Southeast kept the lead at a comfortable margin by hitting 12 three-pointers in the final 20 minutes and shot 48 percent from behind-the-arc in the second half.
The Grenadiers travel to No. 2 IU East Saturday at 3 p.m.
