NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team extended its winning streak to five with a 25-13, 25-18, 25-18 sweep of Ohio Christian Friday.
Freshman Delaney Nichols had a career-high nine kills in the contest to lead IU Southeast. Alyssa Cosgrove added six and Parker Andres had five.
IU Southeast (17-4, 4-2 RSC) led 12-7 in the first set before closing the set on a 13-6 run. IU Southeast had just three attack errors in the first set.
In the second set, the Grenadiers used a 6-0 run to pull away. Freshmen Delaney Nichols and Makendri Fisher each recorded kills and sophomore libero Kenna Burman had an ace to help spark the run.
In the third set, Nichols had five of her nine kills in the final frame to help send the Grenadiers to the sweep.
Three Grenadiers recorded double-digit assists led by Sarah Turner's 16 assists. Alyssa Cosgrove had 13 and Hannah Sipe added 10.
IU Southeast hosts IU East Saturday at noon.
