NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Sophomore Clay Woeste has been named the River States Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced today.
Woeste, a middle infielder from Lawrenceburg, Ind., hit .500 in five games last week as IU Southeast went 3-2. He recorded 10 hits, scored five runs, drove in three and had five stolen bases. Woeste had multi-hit games in three of the five contests last week.
He went 6-for-13 during the key conference series vs IU Kokomo, scored two runs and had three stolen bases. Woeste went 4-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in a 12-6 loss to Campbellsville to open the week.
Woeste ranks No. 5 in the conference in hits (45) and is 10th in batting average at .366.
IU Southeast travels to No. 21 Georgetown Wednesday at 5 p.m.
