Box Score 2 COLUMBUS, Ga. The IU Southeast softball team fell 6-0 to No, 11 Georgia Gwinnett and 8-0 to No. 10 Campbellsville on day two of the NFCA NAIA Leadoff Classic on Saturday.
Georgia Gwinnett opened the scoring in the top of the first when Piper Wagner hit a two-run home run to left-center.
Sydney Pelaez made it 4-0 with a solo home run in the ffith.
The Grenadiers only had runners at second base twice in the contest as the offense could not string hits together.
A five-run first inning doomed the Grenadiers against Campbellsville. Four hits and an error led to the five-run rally, Keely Bowling had a two-run single.
The Grenadiers had back-to-back two-out singles in the bottom of the innig but a ground out ended the frame.
The Tigers added a run in the second a pair in the fourth to put the game away.
