NEW ALBANY, Ind.- Six IU Southeast athletic programs were named NAIA Scholar Teams on Friday, as part of the NAIA's National Awards Day.

The baseball, softball, men's and women's tennis, volleyball and women's basketball teams all earned recognition. The women's basketball team led the way with a 3.64 GPA, followed by volleyball at 3.50, women''s tennis at 3.44, softball at 3.27, men's tennis at 3.26 and baseball at 3.00.

Each team must have a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher and all student-athletes certified as eligible in this sport and listed on any eligibility certificate submitted to conference/CAC (Independent)/unaffiliated grouping eligibility chairs during this academic year must be included.
