RICHMOND, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team's season came to an end on Tuesday as the Grenadiers fell to IU East 3-0 (16-25, 12-25, 17-25) in the quarterfinals of the RSC Tournament.
IU East got off to an 8-4 lead early in set one. Leading 10-6, IU East used a 6-1 run to take a 16-7 lead. IU Southeast cut the lead to six at 20-14, but IU East answered to make it 21-14. The Red Wolves, leading 22-16, closed the set on a 3-0 run to take the first set 25-16.
A 6-1 run early in the second set gave IU East a 12-5 edge. The Red Wolves extended their lead to nine at 18-9. The Red Wolves led by as many as 13 as IU East took the second set 25-12.
IU Southeast used a 6-1 run early in the third set to take an 8-5 lead. A 5-0 run by IU East gave the Red Wolves a 10-8 edge. After an IU Southeast point made it 10-9, a 4-0 IU East run made it 14-9 Red Wolves. IU East extended their lead to eight at 19-11. IU Southeast cut the lead to seven, but it was IU East who took the third set 25-17 and the match 3-0.

Eric Brian said. "We traded punches with a great team. We got them on our Senior Day, they got us in the tournament today. I'm proud of this young team though. We've had a tough road all year, but they have a lot of fight and they supported each other to the end."
Ella Brooks led IU Southeast with nine kills and recorded 3.0 blocks.
Haley Jaster had five kills and an ace, and
Gracie Farmer had three kills and an ace.
Madison Ramsey had a team high 4.0 blocks.
Carly Mason led IU Southeast with 11 assists, and
Ella Davidson recorded a team high six digs.
IU Southeast finishes the season 11-18 overall and 9-7 in conference play, which placed them sixth in the RSC. The Grenadiers finished 7-5 at home, 3-6 in true road games, and 1-7 on neutral courts.
