CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The IU Southeast men's basketball team fell to Campbellsville 77-45 on Tuesday.
Campbellsville jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first half. IU Southeast cut the lead to one at 11-10. With the scored tied at 13-13, the Tigers scored six straight points to take a 19-13 edge.
With Campbellsville ahead 21-16, the Tigers used an 11-0 run to take a 32-16 advantage. Campbellsville led 36-20 at the half.
Campbellsville opened the second half on a 16-0 run to take a 52-20 lead. IU Southeast was held scoreless for the first seven minutes of the second half.
IU Southeast hit their first field goal of the second half with 10:12 remaining. Campbellsville would cruise to a 77-45 victory.
"Played like it was our very first game of the season," IU Southeast head coach
Wiley Brown said. "No ball movement, no player movement, a lot of standing around. 9 assists and 16 turnovers, that's a recipe to get your tail beat and that's what happened. No energy equals a beat down! Back to the drawing board!"
Lane Lauderbaugh led IU Southeast with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Ethan Haddaway had seven points and six rebounds.
Harrison Raisor also had seven points.
IU Southeast returns to action on Jan. 4 for a conference road game against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
