NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team defeated CU Harrodsburg 103-37 on Thursday.
IU Southeast scored the first nine points of the game and led 16-4 halfway through the first quarter. The Grenadiers scored the final six points of the quarter and led 25-7.
The Grenadiers opened the second quarter with 11 straight points. IU Southeast took a 51-13 lead into the half.
IU Southeast outscored CU Harrodsburg 23-10 in the third quarter and 29-14 in the fourth. The Grenadiers would go on to win 103-37.
Every Grenadier scored at least eight points in the contest.
Makenna Wilson scored a career-high 17 points.
Leah Miller also scored 17 points.
Linzie Wernert and
Katie Durbin each recorded a double-double in the win. Wernert had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Durbin had a career-high 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Lexi Starr also had a career-high with 12 points.
Taylor Treat and
Grace Stapleton each scored nine points, and
Jesse Ledgerwood added eight points and eight assists.
IU Southeast shot 61.4 percent from the floor and 45.5 percent from three. The Grenadiers had 28 assists on 43 made baskets and out-rebounded CU Harrodsburg by 18.
IU Southeast (10-11, 6-7 RSC) travels to Oakland City for an RSC contest on Saturday.
