NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's basketball team defeated Simmons 69-57 on Tuesday to extend their winning streak to four games.
IU Southeast started out slow, as Simmons led by as many as nine in the first half. Simmons went 12-32 from the floor in the first half and 3-7 from the three-point line. Simmons hit one of their two free throw attempts.
IU Southeast went 10-29 from the floor in the first half, including going only 3-15 from three. The Grenadiers did not attempt a free throw in the first half. Simmons led 28-23 at halftime.
Simmons nearly matched their first half numbers in the second half, but it was the second half offense of IU Southeast that changed the game.
The Grenadiers heated up offensively after halftime. IU Southeast went 14-31 from the floor in the second half, including a scorching 6-11 from three. The Grenadiers went a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line.
The score was tied six times and there were nine lead changes. IU Southeast used the strong second half to go on and secure a 69-57 victory.

Wiley Brown said. "We can't keep having bad starts and expect to win against good teams. I can say we had those same shots in the first half, but they weren't falling. They were in the second half. Having that, it's about defense and rebounding, and we didn't do that in the first half. Back to the lab!"
Reigning RSC Offensive Player of the Week
Lane Lauderbaugh led IU Southeast with 19 points while adding six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. Reigning RSC Defensive Player of the Week
Camden Pfeister scored 16 points, grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, and recorded three more steals.
Nathaniel Hoffman scored 11 points off the bench.
Trent Hinkle had nine points, tied for the team lead with seven rebounds, and dished out a team-high five assists.
IU Southeast (9-8 overall, 4-2 RSC) returns to action on Thursday for a conference game at No. 25 Rio Grande.
