KOKOMO, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team fell to top seeded IU Kokomo in straight sets in the RSC Volleyball Semifinals on Friday.
With IU Kokomo ahead 10-8 in set one, the Cougars used a 6-0 run to take a 16-8 lead. IU Southeast cut the lead to four at 17-13, but that was as close as it would get as IU Kokomo would take set one 25-18.
IU Kokomo led 9-8 in the second set before a 13-1 run gave the Cougars a commanding 22-9 lead. IU Kokomo would take the second set 25-15.
IU Kokomo led by as many as 11 points in the third set and would go on to take the set 25-17 and the match 3-0.
Ella Brooks led IU Southeast with nine kills.
Carly Mason had a team-high 14 assists, and
Ella Davidson had eight digs to lead the Grenadiers.
