GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team fell to Georgetown 97-60 on Saturday.
 
Georgetown jumped out to an 18-4 lead in the first quarter. The Tigers led 23-15 at the end of one.
 
IU Southeast held Georgetown scoreless for five minutes in the second quarter and cut the Tiger lead to one at 27-26. The Grenadiers took their first lead at 32-31, but it was Georgetown who took a 33-32 lead into the half.
 
With Georgetown ahead 40-37 in the third quarter, the Tigers used a 17-0 run to extend their advantage to 57-37. Georgetown led 67-43 at the end of the third quarter.
 
Georgetown would go on to win 97-60.
 
Jesse Ledgerwood led IU Southeast with 20 points. Morgan Roberts had 15 points and shared the team lead with Linzie Wernert with nine rebounds. Ella Brown added 13 points.
 
"Another solid first half against a solid Georgetown team," IU Southeast head coach Abby Downard said. "We have to work to put together a full 40 minutes of Grenadier basketball. Back to work tomorrow to prepare for another top 25 matchup Tuesday."
 
IU Southeast falls to 2-4 on the year. IU Southeast travels to No. 19 Cumberlands on Tuesday.
