"Proud of our team for overcoming a ton of adversity today," IU Southeast interim head coach Derek Sims said. "Anytime you spend four hours on a bus and play at Alice Lloyd, you're going to have a tough game. I didn't like the way we started the game. Our pressure wasn't good enough on the ball, and we didn't have solid defensive help principles. I had to use an early timeout to settle us down. From there on in the first half, I thought we played well. Sloppy second half. Both teams were fouling too much, and it slowed the pace of play. I thought Lexi and Karly helped kick start our offense. Linzie played well while fighting some foul trouble. Overall, good team conference win. I'm extremely proud of how hard we are working to get better. Next week will be a tough challenge with three games, but we're looking forward to it."

Linzie Wernert led IU Southeast with 19 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Jesse Ledgerwood added 14 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Grace Stapleton had 13 points and tied for the team lead with four steals. Ella Brown had 11 points, and Lexi Starr added a double-double with 10 points and 12 assists. Karly Sweeney added nine points, and Taylor Treat tied for the team-lead with five rebounds.

IU Southeast (12-10, 6-6 RSC) returns to action on Tuesday for a home contest against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
