Courtney Holm Named IU Southeast Softball Head Coach

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Courtney Holm has been named the head coach of IU Southeast softball, athletic director Tod Bannister announced.

"We are excited to have Courtney Holm join our Grenadier family," Bannister said. "During the interview process she displayed a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and did a masterful job connecting with the current players. Her background at the D1 level will bring a different lens to a program that has had a great deal of success over the past decade. We expect Courtney to continue to build on that history of success and elevate the program to new heights."

"I am so thankful for the opportunity at Purdue Fort Wayne," Holm said. "The last seven years of working with coach Amber Bowman have been an amazing experience. I couldn't be more honored to have such knowledgeable and encouraging mentors in my life. I wouldn't be the coach I am without them. I'm so grateful for the journey I have had with the Mastodons, and I am very excited to take the next step in my career as head coach at IU Southeast. I am extremely excited to be a part of this team. I look forward to us having an awesome year!"

Holm comes to IU Southeast from Purdue Fort Wayne, where she was an assistant coach for four seasons at the NCAA Division I level.

PFW improved by 10 wins in Holm's second year in 2023. In 2025, the Mastodons had their best season since 2014, finishing as the runner-up in the Horizon League Championship.

12 student-athletes were named to All-Horizon Leagues Teams in Holm's tenure, including four in 2025.

Holm followed head coach Amber Bowman to Purdue Fort Wayne from NCAA Division II Davenport, where the pair coached for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Holm, a native of Crown Point, Ind., started her collegiate playing career at South Suburban College in South Holland, Ill. In her two seasons with the Bulldogs, the outfielder hit .421 and .463.

She then transferred to play for Purdue Fort Wayne, where she appeared in a total of 83 games in two seasons with 53 starts.

Courtney graduated from PFW, then known as IPFW, in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in general studies while minoring in communication and sociology. She then received her master's degree in management from Davenport.
