COLUMBUS, Ind. – Five Grenadiers scored in double-figures and IU Southeast led for the entire game en route to a 92-62 win on Tuesday.
 
Grace Stapleton had 21 points, seven assists, five rebounds and four steals in the win. Linzie Wernert had 20 points and seven rebounds and six assists. Jesse Ledgerwood had 17 points and five assists, Ella Brown had 11 points and 15 rebounds and Morgna Roberst had 13 points.
 
The Grenadiers jumped out a quick lead by shooting 57 percent from the field and hitting 4-of-10 three-point field goals in the first quarter.
 
With IU Southeast leading 17-12, Linzie Wernert hit a three off of a Ella Brown steal and then a steal by Wernert led to a Morgan Roberts layup.
 
The Grenadiers led 29-15 at the end of the first period.
 
A Grace Stapleton three extended the IU Southeast lead to 42-26 but a 7-0 run by the Crimson Pride cut the deficit to single digits.
 
But IU Columbus would not get closer than eight points. Grace Stapleton hit a pair of free-throws and IU Southeast led 45-34 at halftime.
 
A swarming Grenadier defense forced seven third-quarter turnovers and held IU Columbus to just 25 percent shooting as the Grenadiers pulled away.
 
Grace Stapleton had nine points and two steals in the period.
 
The Grenadiers closed the game by hitting 10-of-15 shots in the fourth quarter, shooting 67 percent.
 
IU Southeast forced 24 turnovers which led to 32 points in the win.
 
The Grenadiers host Shawnee State Saturday at 1 p.m.
