OXFORD, Ohio – River States Conference officials announced Monday that Emma Rowland is this week's RSC Women's Golfer of the Week.

The announcement comes after Rowland placed second at last week's Crimson Classic tournament hosted by IU Kokomo. Rowland's performance was key in the Grenadiers' third-place finish at the Crimson Classic.

Rowland had the best first round of any player at the tournament. The sophomore from Corydon, Ind., shot a 74 in round one, a round that included four birdies.

The announcement from the RSC is Rowland's second career Golfer of the Week honor, and her first honor of this year.
