NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The No. 23 IU Southeast baseball team extended its win streak to four after sweeping a doubleheader against the IU Columbus Crimson Pride Thursday afternoon.

The Grenadiers are 25-10 (14-3 RSC) following today's victories over IUC. IU Southeast is back at home tomorrow for game three against the Crimson Pride. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. Grenadier baseball will be honoring its 2026 senior class before the game.

Game 1: IU Southeast 12, IU Columbus 2

After a slow start offensively, the Grenadiers offense came alive late in the game. Leading 4-2 in the sixth, IU Southeast pulled away, scoring six runs. The first six IU Southeast hitters in the bottom of the sixth reached base. Coulter Hamilton, Gabe Yonto, Caden Lockwood, Matt Santana, Kevin Moore, and Bryson Arnette all recorded RBIs.

The Grenadiers put the game away two innings later. Leading 10-2 with the bases loaded and two outs, Kasen Parks reached base after he was hit by a pitch. One at-bat later, Santana sent one over the wall in left field to end it.

On the mound, Eli Laurent got the start and pitched 4.2 innings, allowing one run on two hits and three strikeouts. Aiden Darlage checked into the game in the fifth inning, allowing one run on one hit and a strikeout. Darlage was credited with the win and is now 4-0 on the season.

Game 2: IU Southeast 13, IU Columbus 0

Just like game one, the Grenadiers got off to a slow start offensively but had a big inning later in the game. In game two, it was the bottom of the fifth that saw the Grenadiers plate 11 runs. Parks, Lockwood, Joel Johnson, Moore, Hamilton, Chance Bentley, Yonto, and Alex Schuler all batted in at least one RBI each in the fifth. All 11 of IU Southeast's fifth inning runs were scored with two outs.

Weston Harvey got the start on the mound for the Grenadiers and had a fantastic outing. Harvey hurled 81 pitches over 6.0 innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and 11 strikeouts. Tucker Shalley checked into the game in the seventh and sat down the Crimson Pride in order and recorded a pair of strikeouts.
