Indiana University Southeast

Fernando Mateo joined the IU Southeast coaching staff in 2019. He previously coached all levels from from elementary to college players from 1995-2006.

From 1999-2003, Mateo coached an U-21 team in Coamo, Puerto Rico and then was an assistant coach from 2000-2001 in the Puerto Rico Professional Basketball League.

He was a high school coach at Ramon J. Davila High School in Coamo, Puerto Rico from 2002-2004.
