NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team dropped a close decision to Carlow University 65-61 on Saturday in IU Southeast head coach Robin Farris's 700th game on the sideline.
Carlow led by as many as 13 points in the first half before IU Southeast cut the lead to four. Carlow led 37-33 at the break. Ashmere Woods and Heather Wheat each had 12 first-half points.
Woods finished with a game-high 21 points and Wheat added 20. The Grenadiers struggled offensively throughout and shot just 34 percent for the game. IU Southeast was 9-33 (27 percent) from three-point range.
Carlow shot 46 percent for the game and was led by Heather Kaczorowski's 17 points.
IU Southeast heads to Cincinnati Clermont on Thursday for a 7 p.m. start.
