NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Three Grenadiers scored 18 points but it was not enough to overtake No. 13 Taylor University as the Trojans survived 75-73 on Saturday.

Ashmere Woods had 18 points and 11 rebounds, Heather Wheat had 18 points and five assists and Kortney Woods had 18 points, five blocks and three rebounds.

The game was tight throughout. There were 19 lead changes and ten ties. The Grenadiers (6-5) were done in by 19 turnovers which stalled the offense down the stretch. The Trojans committed 10 turnovers in the game.

IU Southeast shot 51 percent for the game but only 26 percent from three-point range.

Taylor (11-1) was led by Erika Redweik who had 19 points and 11 rebounds. Becca Daniels and Kelci Freds each had 13 and Shayna Wood had 11.

IU Southeast heads to St. Mary-of-the-Woods on Thursday for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
