NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Indiana University Southeast junior Heather Wheat was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, November 11.
IU Southeast finished the week 2-0 after defeating Cincinnati Christian University 63-54 and Union College 72-54. Wheat averaged 15.5 points, 6.5 assists, five assists, 1.5 blocks and two steals last week. The junior guard recorded 13 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals against Cincinnati Christian. She scored her 1,000th career point in the win against Union College after scoring 18 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists. The Grenadiers will return to action on November 12 when they travel to Oakland City University.
