NEW ALBANY, Ind.- Mary Dye had 19 of her 23 points in the first half to lead the IU Southeast women's basketball team past St. Mary-of-the Woods 111-67.
Dye also added 11 rebounds in the win.
The Grenadiers (4-0) never trailed and led by as many as 46 in the game. The Grenadiers jumped out to a 16-0 lead.
The keys to the game were points off turnovers and points in the paint. IU Southeast scored 33 point off 25 turnovers and outscored SMWC 52-30 in the paint.
Three other Grenadiers score in double figures in addition to Dye. Andrea Owen had 14 points, Haley Pace had 13 and Tori Kingsley had 10.
The Grenadiers' perimeter defense was solid as SMWC shot just 24 percent (8-33) from three-point range.
Kennedy Nelson had 10 points for the Pomeroys.
IU Southeast travels to Kentucky Christian Tuesday at 7 p.m.
