Grayson, Ky. – An Andrea Owen three-pointer fell short as the host Kentucky Christian Lady Knights pulled out a 70-67 victory Tuesday night.
IU Southeast (4-1)led by as many as 14 points midway through the first half before KCU cut the lead to 33-30 at halftime.
Alex Tinsley had a huge game for IU Southeast, finishing with 18 points. Heather Wheat added 14.
Tanya Bowen cut through the Grenadiers' defense and scored 24 points on 9 of 18 shooting. Sharonda Jones added 14 for the Lady Knights.
The Lady Knights hit big free throws down the stretch to secure the win. They shot 94 percent (16-17) from the line.
IU Southeast shot 44 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range, but only went 3 of 12 from behind-the-arc in the second half.
The Grenadiers are back in action Saturday when they host No.4 Georgetown College at 1 p.m.
