NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Heather Wheat had 15 points but a cold-shooting offense doomed the Grenadiers against Georgetown College as the Tigers won 82-63 on Saturday afternoon.
Georgetown, ranked No. 4 in NAIA Div. I, got standout performances from Andrea Howard and Lizza Jones. Howard had 26 and Jones ad 25. Devanny King chipped in 12 for the Tigers.
The Grenadiers fell behind 14-0 before Andrea Owen scored the Grenadiers' first points with 16:20 left in the first half. IU Southeast was able to cut the lead to 35-32 at halftime.
The Grenadiers shot 18 percent from behind-the-arc (3-17) for the game and committed 20 turnovers which stalled their offense in the second half. The Tigers picked up 29 points off turnovers in the game.
IU Southeast heads to Lindsey Wilson on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. matchup.
