NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's basketball team opened its home portion of the schedule in dominant fashion Saturday, defeating IU South Bend 105-78.
Five Grenadiers scored in double figures: Kevin Mitchell had 19 points, Cameron Mitchell had 17, Kegan Clark and Jake Simpson each had 15 and Parker Henes had 13.
IU Southeast led 25-22 with 11 minutes to play in the first half before going on an 11-2 run to open a double-digit lead.
The Grenadiers (3-1) capitalized on 17 IU South Bend turnovers in the first half. IU Southeast scored 26 points off those turnovers.
IU Southeast lead at halftime 61-40.
Jason Jordan had a game-high 30 points in the loss for the Titans (1-3).
IU Southeast shot 56 percent (39-70) from the field and shot 46 percent (12-26) from three-point range.
IU Southeast hosts No.2 Indiana Wesleyan on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
