WILMORE, Ky. – Jake Simpson had 24 points and Kegan Clark added 22 to lead IU Southeast past Asbury 85-70 on Saturday.

IU Southeast (23-4, 13-1 KIAC) jumped out to an early double-digit lead behind the play of Clark and Simpson who had 13 and 12 points, respectively, in the first half.

Asbury was able to cut the lead to 38-34 at halftime.

Cameron Mitchell scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half to help IU Southeast pull away for good. He was six of eleven from the field in the second half.

The Grenadiers shot 50 percent from the field for the game and shot 67 percent (10-25) from three-point range.

Austin Flannery led the Eagles with 19 points and Adam Delph added 17 points.

IU Southeast hosts Brescia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday as part of a Senior Night doubleheader with the women's team which begins at 5:30 p.m.
