NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team outlasted Brescia University 86-82 in overtime on Senior Night.
Senior Ashmere Woods led the Grenadiers with 26 points and nine rebounds and fellow senior Kortney Woods had 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds in the win.
Heather Wheat had 23 points, seven assists and seven rebounds in the win.
The Lady Bearcats (15-14, 7-8 KIAC) forced overtime when Sarah King hit a jumper which tied the game with six seconds to play.
IU Southeast (16-12, 8-7 KIAC) led by as many as 19 before the Lady Bearcats closed the second half on a 21-8 run.
Ashmere Woods and Andrea Owen hit key free throws in overtime to secure the win.
Kaylyn Cecil had 31 points for Brescia.
IU Southeast heads to Berea on Saturday for a KIAC quarterfinal.
