NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Four Grenadiers scored in double-figures as IU Southeast erased an eight-point halftime deficit to defeat Alice Lloyd College 77-68 in a KIAC quarterfinal on Saturday.
Terence Billups led the Grenadiers with 16 points, Jake Simpson and Cameron Mitchell each had 15 and Kegan Clark had 13 points in the win.
The porous Grenadier defense allowed the Eagles to shoot 65 percent in the first half. Nick Litton had 10 first-half points to spark the Eagles, who led 39-31 at the break.
IU Southeast (25-4) outscored Alice Lloyd 46-29 in the second half. Billups was able to knock down a key three-pointer and hit multiple jumpers at the free throw stripe to help get the offense going. He had 14 of his 16 points in the final frame.
Stuart Stamper had a game-high 25 points for the Eagles. Litton finished with 16 and Terry Muse had 10 points.
IU Southeast will face Cincinnati Christian on Monday night at 6 p.m. in the second KIAC Men's semifinal.
