NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Megan Cureton and Mary Dye each had 14 points as IU Southeast pulled away from Midway College in the second half to win 80-60 on Saturday.
The Grenadiers (8-6, 4-1 KIAC) led 34-14 with 4:34 in the first half to play but were held scoreless the rest of the half as Midway went on a 13-0 run to trail 34-27 at the break.
IU Southeast responded in the second half, outscoring the Eagles 46-33 on 52 percent shooting from the field.
With the Grenadiers leading 48-40 with 13:27 to play, Bridgette Jones hit three-point field goals on two of the next three possessions to put the game out of reach at 56-40. She finished with nine points.
Cureton had 14 points and seven rebounds, Dye added 14 points and four rebounds and Heather Wheat had 13 points and seven assists.
Me"Lisa Martinez had 17 points to lead the Eagles, who dropped to 4-10, 1-3 in KIAC play.
IU Southeast hosts Asbury University Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
