NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team completed its season sweep of Alice Lloyd College on Saturday, defeating the Eagles 83-68.
Heather Wheat had 24 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four blocks and four steals. Michaela Harris added 12 points and four rebounds.
The game was close throughout the first half and the Grenadiers led 44-40 at halftime.
In the second half, IU Southeast) clamped down defensively and allowed the Eagles to score 28 points in the second half. They held Alice Lloyd to just 29 percent shooting (10-of-34) in the second half.
The Grenadiers ((13-6, 4-1 KIAC) outrebounded the Eagles 51-41, aided by Haley Pace's career-high 15 rebound
Every Grenadier player scored in the game, and IU Southeast shot 41 percent (29-of-70) from the field in the contest.
IU Southeast hosts IU Kokomo at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
