NEW ALBANY, Ind. – A layup by Brescia's Darrian McNary with five seconds remaining lifted Brescia to a 73-72 win over IU Southeast on Tuesday.
The Grenadiers (17-10, 7-5 KIAC) trailed 16-1 to start the game and did not make a field goal until the 12:03 mark of the first half when Heather Wheat scored to make it 19-8.
IU Southeast came all the way back and led 68-61 with 3:16 to play. But a 12-4 run by the Bearcats saw them escape with the win.
